Biography: Dr. Daisuke Inoue received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical and computer engineering and Ph.D. degree in engineering from Yokohama National University in 1998, 2000 and 2003, respectively. He joined Communications Research Laboratory (CRL), Japan, in 2003. CRL was relaunched as National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in 2004, where he is currently the director of Cybersecurity Laboratory. He received several awards including the best paper award at the 2002 Symposium on Cryptography and Information Security (SCIS 2002), the commendation for science and technology by the minister of MEXT, Japan, in 2009, the Good Design Award 2013, the Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements 2014, and the award for contribution to Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration by the minister of MIC, Japan, in 2016.
Biography: Dr. Iqbal Gondal is Director of Internet Commerce Security Lab (ICSL), Federation University Australia. ICSL conducts research in the application of advance analytics techniques for cybersecurity and provides innovative Cybersecurity solutions to the industry. He is also works as Non Exec Director of Oceania Cyber Security Centre and University engagement for Defence Science Institute. In the past, he was director of ICT strategy for the faculty of IT in Monash. He has served in the capacity of Director of Postgraduate studies for six years, member of faculty board and member of Monash academic board.
Prior to joining Monash, he worked in a capacity of a research fellow and a senior software systems engineer for seven years in Singapore and Australia with Delphi (GM), Singapore Manufacturing Technology (SimTech) and other industries. He has published over 164-refereed conference and journal papers. To date he has successfully supervised 18 PhD students. He is Fellow of Institute of Engineers Australia and Graduate member of Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a member of advisor board for International Journal for Distributed Sensors networks and Editor of Journal of Information Processing in Agriculture, China.
His passion for innovation has led to the development of many practical products in condition monitoring. His research interests are: Remote condition monitoring, Wireless and sensor networks information processing, Cyber security analytics.
Biography: Kaizhu Huang works as Head of department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Before that, he was an Associate Professor at National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA). Dr. Huang obtained his Ph.D. degree from The Chinese Univ. of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2004. He worked as a researcher in Fujitsu R&D Centre, CUHK, and University of Bristol, UK from 2004 to 2009. Dr. Huang has been working in machine learning, pattern recognition, and neural information processing. He is the recipient of 2011 Asian Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) Distinguished Younger Researcher Award. He has published 8 books in Springer and over 120 international research papers (45+ SCI-indexed international journals and 60+ EI conference papers) e.g., in journals (JMLR, IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE T-NNLS, IEEE T-IP, IEEE T-SMC, IEEE T-BME) and conferences (NIPS, IJCAI, SIGIR, UAI, CIKM, ICDM, ICML,ECML, CVPR). He serves as associate editors in Neurocomputing, Cognitive Computation, and Springer Nature Big Data Analytics. He served on the programme committees in many international conferences such as ICONIP, IJCNN, IWACI, EANN, KDIR. Biography: Dr. Tao Ban is currently a senior researcher with Cybersecurity Research Institute, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Tokyo, Japan. He got his Bachelor’s degree from Department of Automatic Control, Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1999, his Master degree of engineering from Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 2003, and Ph.D. from Kobe University in the field of Information Science in 2006. He is the receiver of the following awards. IEEE AsiaJCIS 2013 best paper award, IEEE DMAI2008 best paper award, ICONIP 2007 best paper award, 2004 IEEE Kansai section best student paper award. He is a member of IEEE and an active member of program committee of international conferences such as IJCNN, ICONIP, ISNN, FUZZ-IEEE, CEC. He has published more than 50 Journal and Conference publications and book chapters in the field of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Multi variant analysis, Computer Graphics etc. He is on the executing editor of Journal of Intelligent Learning Systems and Applications. His research interest includes pattern classification, neural processing, machine learning and data mining for network security, etc.
